WHY ARE CROSS-COUNTRY SKI POLES IMPORTANT?
Roller ski poles are not only an important propulsion, they also support your movements and give you grip and stability. Cross-country skiing is one of the oldest sports in the world and was invented over 5000 years ago. A good cross-country ski pole convinces with stability, durability and lightness.
WHICH GRIP SYSTEM IS THE RIGHT ONE?
In hardly any other sport is the hand-pole connection as important as in the Nordic disciplines. To achieve maximum power transmission, the strap and grip must be precisely adapted to the runner. With our FRT system, the loop can be adjusted to the athlete with millimetre precision. In this way, the maximum can be extracted from the poles. Our shark system is a specially developed grip-loop system that allows you to easily click in and out of the pole. It gives you precise guidance and optimal operability.
WHAT IS THE FIN VARIO SYSTEM?
The fin vario plate changing system allows you to adjust your plate size depending on the condition of the trail. The cross-country plate S/M is suitable for rather firm snow. For soft ground or fresh snow, we recommend the slightly larger M/L plate. For the road, the scooter tip is optimal. Changing the plates/tips can be done without tools. Poles with a fin vario tip can therefore be used in winter as well as in summer.
HOW DO I FIND THE RIGHT POLE LENGTH?
The appropriate length of cross-country ski poles can be calculated with a simple formula. For classic style: body height in cm x 0.84 = recommended cross-country pole length. For skating: body height in cm x 0.89 = recommended cross-country pole length. For an exact calculation, we have also integrated a pole length advisor on our website. Simply enter your height and select the desired sport and you will find out the optimal length.
