Safety: The following safety-related information describes possible hazards and residual risks that may occur when using the product. To avoid personal injury and damage to property, read the instructions listed here carefully and observe them when using the product. If there are any uncertainties or if further information is required, please contact your authorised specialist dealer before using the product. Observe all safety information and warnings in these operating instructions. This product can be used by children aged from 10 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. The product, its accessories and packaging material are not toys. Do not allow children to play with it because children can injure themselves or others or damage the appliance. Keep the product with all its parts, accessories and packaging material out of the reach of small children. Cleaning and maintenance work must not be carried out by children without supervision. Only connect the product to a mains voltage in accordance with the specifications on the rating plate. Only use the product with the heating element included in the scope of delivery. Do not supply the product via an external switching device, such as a timer, or connect it to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by a device. Disconnect the product from the power supply when not in use. Before cleaning and maintenance, always disconnect the plug from the socket and allow the product to cool down to room temperature. Do not remove the serial number on the care label. Overheating the product can cause burns. Do not use the product if the product and in particular the cables, the control element and/or the heating element are damaged. Keep vulnerable persons, children and animals away from the product's cables. There is a risk of strangulation. Do not pull on the cables and do not lift or carry the product by the cables. Electrical hazards: There is a risk of electric shock if the product is used incorrectly. Observe the following safety instructions: Do not use the product with both plugs at the same time. Do not immerse the product, including the control element and heating element, in water, hold it under running water or operate it with wet hands. Do not place the product in the snow or on other wet surfaces. Liquids must not get onto the plug of the product, the control element or the socket. Do not insert snow-covered or dripping wet clothing or shoes into the product. Only use the product in a non-condensing environment. If water gets into the product, disconnect the plug from the power supply immediately. Before using the product again, completely remove the water from the product and allow the product, including the heating element, to dry completely in a cool, dry place. To disconnect the plug, always pull the plug and not the cable. Do not pull the plug out of the socket with wet or damp hands. If the power cables are damaged, they must be replaced immediately by the manufacturer or an authorised customer service centre in order to rule out or avoid a hazard. Do not alter or modify the product, especially the heating element. Intended use: The product Bootbag Hot (heatable) is a heatable skiboot bag and may only be used in accordance with the explanations in these operating instructions. Any use for other purposes is not in accordance with the intended use. Foreseeable misuse: The product must not be misused. The following foreseeable misuse is not permitted: Connecting the product to a power supply other than as specified on the rating plate. Changes or modifications to the product. Use the product to dry clothing or shoes that are covered in snow or dripping wet. Use of the product for transporting or warming people or animals. There is a risk of suffocation. Use of the product for transporting or reheating food. Use of the heating element outside the bag. This product must not be worked on and/or altered by anybody other than LEKI Lenhart GmbH or one of its sales partners except as part of the approved assembly in accordance with the instruction manual or by an authorised LEKI service partner following the official LEKI assembly instructions. Any other modifications or alterations fail to comply with the approved use and could lead to risks and safety problems. As a consequence, we strongly advise against this. Any warranty given by LEKI Lenhart GmbH expires in the event of such modifications or alterations that are not in accordance with the intended use. Any claims of the product user which are caused by modifications or alterations are excluded.
